Are you bored sitting at home of a night and want to get out more?
Do you secretly think our events are lame and you would do a much better job of entertaining and educating the librarians of Qld?
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions then now is your chance to join the ALIA Qld Group and help organise a great program of events for the year! Our long time Convenor, Vicki McDonald, is leaving us for southern climes so we are calling for additional group members to join us. We also need to choose our group officials (Convenor, Secretary and Treasurer) and would love to have some new faces and voices around the table.
We run a great roster of events throughout the year, from small networking meets to mini-conferences and of course the popular Library Week Trivia Night. Meetings of the group are held every four to six weeks, with teleconferencing if you are unable to attend in person. Being part of the group creates great networking opportunities.
The ongoing members of the group are Nerilee Hall, Caroline Gauld, Jennifer Creese, Craig Milne and Samanthi Suraweera. If you would like to know more feel free to contact any of us.
