“Partnerships & Connections” Mini-conference 2013

ALIA Queensland thanks all those who have submitted papers for the forth coming ALIA Queensland Mini Conference. The organising committee have reviewed the submissions and will be contacting authors shortly.


Key Note Speaker
The key note speaker for the mini conference is Maureen Sullivan, Acting Director Collections and Access at Queensland State Archives.
 
Maureen has over thirty years experience across library sectors incorporating significant experience in the provision of leadership, strategic and operational management, library systems and innovative information service delivery. 

Maureen has previously worked in public libraries in NSW, the TAFE sector and University libraries in Queensland.
 
She was a 2004 Flexible Learning Leader in the field of knowledge management. From 2006-2007 Maureen managed the funded projects and academic staff development unit at Brisbane North TAFE. In 2007-2008 she managed and reviewed the service at Griffith University Open Universities Australia unit. During 2009-2011 Maureen was responsible for simultaneously delivering a new library system as Director, New Library System - Griffith and a re-vamped and shared student space as Project Director, Willett Redevelopment Project.
 
She has a reputation for working hard and smart to deliver quality services and outcomes to the complexities of modern information environments through logical and focused attention of the importance of establishing and nurturing relationships, making connections and developing partnerships. Her passion is in successfully managing staff through periods of change to achieve client-centered solutions.
